How to Fish It

Punching: Flip heavy jigs (1 to 2oz) through matted vegetation to reach bass holding underneath. The backbone drives the hook home on aggressive hooksets.

Swimbaits: Throw larger swimbaits and glide baits in the 3 to 6oz range. The rod handles the weight and provides good casting distance.

Heavy Jigs: Pitch 3/4 to 1 1/2oz jigs to docks, laydowns, and thick brush. You'll have the power to pull fish out before they tangle you up.

Chatterbaits: Work heavy chatterbaits (3/4oz+) through grass and around cover with confidence.
