Snagless Punch Jig
Bass Jigs Built for Every Technique
Jigs are the most versatile lure in bass fishing — and the most deadly when you know how to use them. Whether you're punching through heavy mats, dragging deep structure, or swimming grass lines, the right jig puts you in control of the presentation and triggers strikes other baits can't.
Why Jigs Work
Bass can't resist a jig's defensive crawfish profile. The upright landing position, pulsing skirt, and natural fall trigger reaction strikes from fish holding tight to cover or staging on structure. Jigs let you fish slow or fast, shallow or deep, and maintain bottom contact in ways other lures can't match.
Jig Types and When to Use Them
Heavy Cover / Flipping Jigs: Triangular heads punch through mats, brush, and laydowns. Low-profile weed guards deflect snags. Use 3/8oz to 3/4oz for pitching, flipping, and punching thick vegetation.
Football Jigs: Wide, stable heads stand upright on hard bottom. Drag across ledges, points, and offshore structure in 10–30 feet. Ideal for clear water and deep-water patterns.
Swim Jigs: Streamlined heads cut through grass and swim horizontally. Burn over vegetation or swim parallel to cover. Best for active fish feeding on baitfish.
Finesse Jigs: Compact profiles and light weights for pressured fish. Slow fall and subtle action work in clear water, cold water, and tough-bite conditions.
Bladed Jigs (Chatterbaits): Vibrating metal blade creates flash and disturbance. Triggers reaction strikes in stained water and active feeding windows.
How to Fish Jigs
Maintain bottom contact in shallow water and place it in the strike zone when fishing deeper structure. Experiment with your retrieve — quick hops, slow drags, or deadsticking all work depending on conditions and fish mood.
The tie-off point matters: a tie-off closer to the end of the jig head creates a shallower arc and more linear motion, while a tie-off at a right angle creates a higher arc and more up-and-down action.
Hook sets are free — bass spit jigs quickly due to the skirt texture, so set the hook as soon as you feel weight or see your line twitch.
Pair with the Right Trailer
Trailers dial in action and profile. Use craw trailers for bottom-contact presentations, creature baits for bulk in heavy cover, and paddle tails for swimming retrieves. Match trailer color to water clarity — natural patterns in clear water, darker colors in stained conditions.
Built for Precision and Power
Our jigs feature custom Gamakatsu hooks, hand-tied skirts, and head designs optimized for specific techniques. From the triangular head that lands upright in heavy cover to the football head that resists rolling on hard bottom, every detail is built to trigger strikes and hold fish.
