Fish Hooks

Sharp hooks that penetrate fast and hold fish. From EWG hooks for soft plastics to treble hooks for hard baits, the right hook makes the difference between landed fish and lost fish.

Why Quality Hooks Matter

A sharp hook penetrates on light bites and drives home on hard hooksets. A dull hook slides off or pulls out during the fight. Quality hooks stay sharp longer, resist bending under pressure, and hold fish from the strike to the boat. Cheap hooks cost you fish.

Hook Types and When to Use Them

EWG (Extra Wide Gap) Hooks: Wide gap for rigging bulky soft plastics. Texas rigs, creature baits, and swimbaits. The gap creates room for the hook point to penetrate past the plastic.

Offset Worm Hooks: Versatile for Texas rigging stick baits, worms, and finesse plastics. The offset bend helps the hook sit straight in the bait.

Straight Shank Hooks: Best for wacky rigging and Neko rigging. The straight shank lets the bait fall naturally without spinning.

Treble Hooks: Replacement hooks for hard baits. Sharp points and strong wire hold fish on crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwater.

Jig Hooks: Heavy-duty hooks for flipping and pitching. Strong wire and wide gaps for pulling fish out of heavy cover.

Hook Sharpness and Maintenance

Check hook sharpness before every trip. Run the point across your thumbnail — if it catches, it's sharp. If it slides, sharpen it or replace it. Most lost fish come from dull hooks that don't penetrate.

Replace hooks after landing big fish or fishing around rocks and wood. Abrasion dulls points fast. A new hook costs less than a lost fish.
